I have two questions for you:
1) Where did June go? 2) And how can be on our way to the middle of July?
Life is in a sort of holding pattern at the Riger Haus, and like my dear friend Virginia said in her recent post there isn’t much to blog about these days (and while your there check out the pictures of her adorable son, Randal. What a cutie boy!).
I could tell you about our never ending battle to keep the weeds from growing in the backyard we replanted last summer; or that we just bought a treadmill from our neighbors that are moving next month (so now we have no excuse not the burn some calories- even if its cold and raining outside). Probably the biggest news we have to share these days is that we started the paperwork to refinance our house in Idaho, which really isn’t news because we have no idea if we will be approved or not. We are hoping things work out in that department.
Things are pretty normal around here, as normal as it can be when you are living outside of the United States! If you have heard reports that Americans living at US installations are under threat of attack- don’t sweat it. This is nothing new. Nevertheless it only makes our move home that much more inviting! In ten months time we will be stateside- the exact location to be determined. After almost five years in Germany, we are ready to come home. More on that later.
I do have some photos to post from Belgium, which you will see very soon. Our friend Rich took some great pictures, I just need them in a larger size than thumbnail! I did include a pic of Don and I riding the elevator just for fun.
I hear that it is very hot back home out west- so Mom and Dad, Judy, Deanna and everybody else sweltering in the heat stay hydrated! We are having a very cold and wet summer. I actually wore a wool sweater to a BBQ on the 4th of July!
Shivering in July,
